Vacuum Castings To complement its existing product range of airmelted materials, the Tritech Group can now also offer its customer base vacuum melted superalloys. The vacuum furnace, successfully commissioned during 4th quarter 2004, designated TRIVAC 1, was designed by Leybold Heraeus and has a VIP 125kw powerpack. The furnace has a 40kg melting capacity and the mould chamber is 20inches ( 500mm ) diameter X 20 inches ( 500mm ) high. Typical alloys that can be melted include nickel, cobalt and iron based superalloys such as :-
